We created a hands-on booth at the KC Convention Center. From 10am-2pm, we helped 400+ kids build LEGO robots and code them to solve LEGO missions.
We participated in a national festival where kids learn innovative hands-on activities. We made a booth teaching kids how to build Lego robots and do basic coding in Spike Prime.
This year we wanted to spread the joy of FLL, so we ran a robotics club at the North Kansas City library. The kids enjoyed the activity of making their own creative robots.
We started the 1st ever Hack Club in KC!
We wanted to show teens that coding is fun and not that intimidating once you try it.
At all of our events, we passed out FIRST® flyers showing the different FIRST® program levels and explained them to families!
We answered SO many questions that we decided to create a new website about robotics in KC. Now we can hand out a website link where families can find local robotics resources all in one place.
We volunteered to demonstrate our FTC robot at a FRC event. We brought sea creature bath toys and helped kids operate our robot’s claw to pick a toy out of the Submersible.
They loved it!
We volunteered at KC’s Robot Build Day to help rookie teams figure out and learn how to build and design their robot.
We post tutorials on our 3 Social Media Pages. Don't miss our YouTube Video on how to start an FTC Team!
Our team strives to help any team that needs it. This season we drove 1 hour away to help a rookie team learn how to wire & code their robot 4 days before their 1st meet. Before we left, we made sure they knew exactly how to do it next time.
We participated in a public scrimmage at Science City to show FTC robots to the public. We stayed after the scrimmage and helped kids drive our Castle robot.
We read the entire FTC Competition Manual and created a comprehensive and fun Game Rules quiz to help other teams. We sent it to teams worldwide on Instagram.
We help setup, cleanup and volunteer at FTC meets!
This Spring: We are helping a Girl Scout troop earn their Robotics badge!
Our goal is to spread the word about Girls in STEM in KC. Since our team is two-thirds girls we are passionate about showing girls that robotics is fun!
